We can learn from the ways Saidiya Hartman lovingly writes in Wayward Lives, Beautiful Experiments to backfill the archives with stories that trust each woman’s sovereignty and dignity. We can exercise our own imaginations towards expansion instead of contraction, as we re-remember that we are always looking through a prism refraction of our own limited seeing.
